I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to helping clients learn how to use skills and insights gained in therapy to create meaningful change in their day-to-day lives. I specialize in working with individuals and couples seeking to work through challenges related to sex (low desire, sexual pain, sexual trauma), postpartum related moods and adjustment to motherhood, anxiety and depression. My work with couples, which is rooted in my training in the Gottman Method not only deals with couple conflict and its resolution, but also extends beyond the conflict into the everyday aspects of couple interaction through building and repairing the couple’s friendship, love, and the couple’s shared meaning system. Endometriosis can have a significant impact on mental health, as studies have shown that women with endometriosis are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders compared to women without the condition. In fact, up to 50% of women with endometriosis may experience depression at some point during their lives. It is important for women with endometriosis to seek support and treatment for both their physical and mental health needs.

Endometriosis can be a painful and frustrating condition that affects many women's sexual health. If you're struggling with pain during sex or other issues related to endometriosis, sex therapy can be an effective way to address these concerns.

Sex therapy is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on improving sexual functioning and satisfaction. A sex therapist can help you explore ways to manage pain during sex, improve communication with your partner, and find new ways to experience pleasure.

If you're dealing with endometriosis and want to improve your sexual health, consider reaching out to a sex therapist for help. You don't have to suffer in silence – there are solutions available. #endometriosis #sexualhealth #sexualpain #pelvicpain #womenshealth #sextherapy #endometriosisawareness
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and it’s important that we talk about this common but often misunderstood condition. Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus, causing pain and other symptoms.

Here are some things you should know about endometriosis:

Endometriosis is a common condition that affects approximately 1 in 10 women of reproductive age.

Symptoms of endometriosis can vary but often include painful periods, pain during sex, chronic pelvic pain, and infertility.

Diagnosis of endometriosis can be difficult, as symptoms can be similar to other conditions. If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, it’s important to talk to your healthcare provider.

Treatment for endometriosis often includes medication and/or surgery. There is currently no cure for endometriosis, but with proper treatment, many women are able to manage their symptoms and maintain their quality of life.

It’s important to spread awareness about endometriosis and advocate for more research funding and support for those affected by this condition.

If you or someone you know is living with endometriosis, know that you are not alone. Seek support from your healthcare provider, online communities, and advocacy organizations. Let’s work together to raise awareness about endometriosis and improve the lives of those affected. #EndometriosisAwareness #EndoAwarenessMonth #KnowEndo #EndoSisters #EndoWarriors
