Better Being Main Line is private a boutique psychotherapy practice that provides personalized and compassionate care. We believe in a strong relationship between a client and their therapist; therefore our clinicians work in in a nonjudgmental, empowering, and supportive manner. We use evidence based techniques while tailoring treatment strategies specifically to meet your goals. We value collaboration with you and other health care professionals involved in your treatment to develop most effective interventions.

Meet our Founder, Heather Davidson Ed.M., MA

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual & couples counseling. I received my Ed.M. & MA in counseling psychology from Columbia University. I completed The Council for Relationships Post-Graduate Sex Therapy Program & am a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, & Therapists (AASECT). I also received additional training in EMDR therapy and am a EMDR certified therapist through the EMDR International Association.

I am the co-author of Master Conflict Therapy: A New Model for Practicing Couples & Sex Therapy (Routledge, 2018) and speak locally and nationally about integrating couples therapy and sex therapy, sexual and pelvic pain and sexual trauma.

Aimee Wood LCSW

I have been in the counseling field for over 10 years and specialize in sexual issues including sexual trauma, sex addiction, sexual pain, as well as postpartum anxiety, depression, and the many issues (large and small) that come with adjusting to being a new parent.

I also provide individual and couples counseling to those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment to life transitions and life stressors, difficulties with communication and healing from affairs.

Elvan Kama Kurtz

I received my Bachelor’s in psychology and sociology as a double major from Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2016. I continued my higher education at Drexel University, Philadelphia and earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018. I have been in the mental health field for 8 years and in the counseling field for over 3 years. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, addiction, and any relationship difficulties or dysfunction by working with families, couples, and individuals. I also work with young adults and teenagers. Regardless of the type of therapy I provide, my passion is to bring a relationship piece into your problems and solutions, because I believe “nothing happens in isolation”.
