Better Being Main Line is a private psychotherapy practice that provides personalized and compassionate care to individuals and couples. We believe in a strong relationship between a client and their therapist; therefore our clinicians work in in a nonjudgmental, empowering, and supportive manner. We use evidence based techniques while tailoring treatment strategies specifically to meet your goals. We value collaboration with you and other health care professionals involved in your treatment to develop the most effective interventions.

Meet our Founder, Heather Davidson Ed.M., MA, LPC, & CST

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of clinical experience who provides individual & couples counseling. I received my Ed.M. & MA in counseling psychology from Columbia University. I completed The Council for Relationships Post-Graduate Sex Therapy Program & am a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, & Therapists (AASECT). I also received additional training in EMDR therapy and am a EMDR certified therapist through the EMDR International Association.

I am the co-author of Master Conflict Therapy: A New Model for Practicing Couples & Sex Therapy (Routledge, 2018) and speak locally and nationally about integrating couples therapy and sex therapy, sexual and pelvic pain and sexual trauma.

Meet Our Clinical Director of Perinatal Mental Health, Aimee Wood MSW, LCSW, CST

I am a licensed clinical social worker and a certified sex therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) with 15 years of experience in the counseling field. I work with individuals and couples in a variety of areas from sex therapy/intimacy, trauma related issues, life transitions, etc. I specialize in maternal mental health, providing individual and couples therapy to mothers and partners struggling with adjustment to life with their newborn. I have advanced training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum International, as well as training in Perinatal Women in Distress from the Postpartum Stress Center. I facilitate a bi-weekly support group for postpartum moms at any stage of adjustment.

I have been featured on CBS News, as well as in Philly Voice and The Atlantic as the featured expert on issues including: Divorce, Millennials and Marriage, and Sexual Health.

Jennifer Chen, Ed.M, MA, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual and couples counseling. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and my Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. I have over ten years of experience working with diverse populations suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss, and behavioral and stress related issues. I also work with women specific issues, including juggling work and parenting responsibilities, relationship challenges, burnout, and emotional and sexual concerns.

Nicole Amenheuser, MA

I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Chester University in 2021. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and am working towards state licensure. I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, and narrative therapy. I treat individuals to support them in their efforts to recognize their resilience and grow their empowerment.

Chelsea Robinson, MSW, LSW

I earned my Master of Social Work from Temple University, and I am pursuing clinical licensure in Pennsylvania. I have been trained in EMDR therapy through The EMDR Institute. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional and have provided case management, advocacy, and counseling services to folks facing threats linked to public health issues—such as intimate partner violence. I am particularly passionate about women’s issues and currently specialize in supporting clients through anxiety and adjustment-related stressors, emotional (narcissistic) abuse, racial trauma, sexual trauma, and women’s pelvic/sexual pain.

I am a marriage and family therapist, a clinical member of American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level II trained couples therapist, and a clinical member of Marriage and Family Therapists Working in Trauma. I received my bachelor’s in psychology and sociology as a double major from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2016.
