Heather received her Ed.M. & MA in counseling psychology from Columbia University in 2010. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Sex Therapist Supervisor. She is also an EMDR certified therapist through the EMDR International Association. 

She is the author of Effective Treatment of Women’s Pelvic and Sexual Pain Disorders: Healing the Body and the Mind During the #MeToo Era (Routledge, 2023), and the co-author of Master Conflict Therapy: A New Model for Practicing Couples & Sex Therapy (Routledge, 2018).

 
 

Heather has also published articles in the American Counseling Association’s Counseling Today, and AASECT’s Contemporary Sexuality. She has been invited to speak both locally and nationally about integrating couples therapy and sex therapy, sexual and pelvic pain and sexual trauma.

Heather works with individuals and couples struggling with pelvic/sexual pain conditions, infertility, low sexual desire, trauma (including medical trauma, sexual trauma & critical incident trauma in first responders), anxiety and burnout syndrome.
