  • Check your Insurance Benefits

Better Being does not accept insurance. We believe that we can offer our clients more flexibility with appointments and increased privacy. This also enables us to work directly for you and not the insurance company.

  • Some insurance companies and plans do allow for reimbursement of out of network providers or for the cost of your sessions to go toward your deductible. You are encouraged to call you insurance company to inquire about your specific benefits. We are happy to provide you with a receipt of services and payment that will include all information required by the insurance companies. We also have the ability to accept most HSA cards.

  • Our boutique style allows us to offer a range of flexible appointment times. Each therapist schedule varies but overall, we offer hours at throughout the day and evening on Mondays through Fridays, and daytime appointments on the weekends.

  • Some therapists do offer teletherapy session for adults in the state of PA only via a HIPAA complaint webservice. These sessions can take place after an initial in person assessment and at the discretion of the therapist. Very often these sessions are used to help individual develop specific skills, i.e. communication and / or psychoeducation. Clients are required to have a confidential space, web camera, and stable internet connection to ensure quality of session.

  • We use a HIPAA compliant platform called Simple Practice. Once you book your first session, you will receive a link to your Simple Practice Portal to complete the intake paperwork. Please complete your intake paperwork at least 24 hours before your first appointment so your therapist has time to review your forms. During your initial appointment, your therapist will ask several questions including what has brought you to therapy. If time allows, the therapist will also gather background information to further understand your concern. Generally the first few sessions are an assessment of the presenting problem and an opportunity for us to explore your history and its connection to why you are seeking therapy.

  • We recommend you reflecting on the following questions in order to make the most of your first appointment: 1) What made you decide to call for services? and 2) What do you want to get out of therapy? If this is a hard question to answer, think about the top three most pressing concerns you want addressed in therapy. Do not worry if these questions are difficult to answer. Merely use them to reflect. We can work on these answers collaboratively in session.
